Northeast Conference Holds Men's Basketball Virtual Media Day; Preseason Poll Released
The Northeast Conference announced its Preason Coaches' Poll and Preseason All-NEC Team on Tuesday during the league's virtual Media Day. CCSU was picked 10th in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, in which coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Wagner was tabbed the preseason favorite and collected seven first-place votes. Bryant collected two first-place votes and was picked second, followed by defending champion Mount St. Mary's which got the remaining first-place vote.
Head coach Patrick Sellers is set to begin his first season in charge of the Blue Devils and he has retooled the roster with eight newcomers. Among the returnees are junior Nigel Scantlebury who ranked third in the NEC with a 1.89 assist/turnover ratio. Central also welcomes back Senior Stephane Ayangma who scored in double-figures in the last five games of the season, junior Tre Mitchell who is the team's leading returning scorer (9.4 ppg) and junior Ian Krishnan who is a 36% three-point shooter in his career.
