The Central Connecticut State football team closed a two-game road trip with a 42-20 loss to Brown University Sturdy afternoon.
The Blue Devils ran the ball for 235 yards on Saturday, highlighted by the Blue Devils longest play from scrimmage of the year, 82-yards.
Tyler Boatwright blocked a field goal attempt, his second of the year, and the Blue Devils third in as many games.

- Nate Lussier found Mark Mahoney from four yards out midway in the first to put Brown in front 7-0
- On the second play of the second quarter, Ricky Ortega found Malik Thomas over the middle and he took it 41 yards to the house to tie the score, 7-7
- Brown answered on the next drive, a 9-play 70-yard effort that ended with an 11-yard pass from Jake Willcox to Graham Walker with 12:04 to play before halftime

- Elijah Howard had 22 rush yards on four carries, putting Barnum in place for a 43-yard field goal to bring CCSU within a score, 21-13 with 48 seconds to play in the half
- Willcox found Wes Rocket on their fifth play from scrimmage in the second-half for a 17-yard touchdown and the 27-13 lead
- Howard broke around the right side for an 82-yard touchdown to bring CCSU back within a possession, 28-19 with 8:40 to play in the third quarter
- The Bears answered in 70 seconds, capping a three play, 67-yard drive with a Jordan Delucia one-yard rush
- Solomon Miller caught a Willcox pass in the backfield and went 68 yards to put Brown in front 42-20
- Aubrey Parker intercepted Ortega with 2:00 left in the third quarter, which gave Brown a first down on the CCSU 15-yard line
- The defense held and Tyler Boatwright blocked the 30-yard field goal attempt
