Late Rally Lifts UAlbany Past Baseball on Tuesday

KEY MOMENTS
- UAlbany opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the second and held the lead until CCSU got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning. Colby Brouillette led off with a solo home run to right field to make it 1-1.
- In the bottom of the frame, UAlbany got an RBI single from Anthony Scarabino and a two-run hit by Cooper Loyal to go ahead 4-1.
- Central took advantage of an error to load the bases with nobody out in the fifth inning. Hunter Pasqualini drove in a run on a fielder's choice to make it 4-2.
- Josh Taylor led off the seventh with a double for the Blue Devils. After advancing on a groundout, Taylor scored on a single from Brady Short. Pasqualini collected CCSU's third straight single in the inning to drive in Short and make it 4-4. The Blue Devils would get runners to second and third with one out before Brouillette drove in a run with a sacrifice to make it 5-4.
- In the eighth, Antonio Ducatelli and Elliot Good each walked and would come around to score on a triple by Short to push the CCSU lead to 7-4.
- Will Binder led off the UAlbany eighth with a homerun beginning a string of four straight hits. Scarabino would tie the game with a two-run double. After a pair of popups, a walk would put a pair of runners on for Luke Myers who cleared the bags with a double to make it 9-7.
NOTES
- UAlbany leads the series, 11-10, all-time.
- Central collected 12 hits as a team, its 13th game with 10+ hits this season.
- Short went 3-for-4 and three RBIs.
- Good and Derek Haughey each added two hits. Good also scored two runs.
- Zack Robinson made his first career start and tossed 3.1 innings.
- Wyatt Cameron tossed a perfect 2.2 innings in relief. He struck out five.
