Women's Cross Country Wins Third Title in a Row
The Blue Devils took the gold at the 2021 NEC Championship.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team completed the three peat with a dominant win at the 2021 Northeast Conference Championship in Plainville, MA. The Blue Devils scored 32 points and had four runners finish in the top eight. Junior Ashley Dana was named the 2021 NEC Most Outstanding Performer after finishing in first place with a time of 17:35.5. Defending individual champion Angie Rafter finished right behind Dana with a score of 17:35.6.

Ashley Dana and Angie Rafter had a photo finish at the end, with Dana squeaking by her teammate by a tenth of a second. Dana finished in first place and ran a personal best 17:35.5 in the 5K.
