Eisenga, Roufs Earn NEC Volleyball Weekly Awards

Central Connecticut junior Ashlyn Eisenga and freshman Isabelle Roufs earned a pair of Northeast Conference volleyball weekly awards it was announced on Monday. Eisenga was named the Northeast Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, while Roufs was named Rookie of the Week.
Eisenga had a season-high 28 digs in a five-set win at LIU on Friday. She added seven assists in the win. On Saturday in a 3-0 win at Fairleigh Dickinson, Eisenga had 19 digs, five assists and an ace. On the year, Eisenga is helping CCSU hold opponents to a .191 hitting percentage. She ranks second in the NEC with 4.69 digs/set.
Roufs had a career-high 10 blocks in the win at LIU. She aded nine kills and an ace, along with a dig. In the win at Fairleigh Dickinson, she had 10 kills, hitting .444, and added two digs and an ace. ON the year, she ranks fifth in the NEC in hitting percentage (.337) and fifth in blocks/set (0.84).
