Eisenga Named NEC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Central opens Northeast Conference play against LIU on Friday.
Central Connecticut junior Ashlyn Eisenga was named the Northeast Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week it was announced on Monday. Eisenga averaged 5.25 digs/set in three matches for the Blue Devils.
In a four-set win over Maryland-Eastern Shore, Eisenga helped limit UMES to a .194 attack pct. with 19 digs, while adding a kill and six assists. She had 24 digs, two assists and two aces against Lafayette, while closing out the weekend with an ace, an assist and 20 digs against Hartford.
Eisenga is among the conference leaders, recording 4.4 digs/set on the season. CCSU opens NEC play on Friday night when it hosts LIU at 7:00 p.m.
