Freshman Morgan Woycik led the way with 15 kills
Freshman Morgan Woycik led all players with 15 kills as the Central Connecticut volleyball team topped St. Francis University 3-0 at home on Sunday. The Blue Devils won 25-13, 25-16 and 25-21 to move to 7-2 in Northeast Conference play this season.
The Blue Devils are now 12-9 overall. St. Francis falls to 4-18 and 0-9 in league play.
Woycik had 15 kills and just a pair of errors as she hit .433 in the victory. Senior Brooke Schwab added seven kills and hit .545, with just one error in 11 attempts. Sophomore Kaitlyn Kushman had 20 assists to lead the offense.
Kushman added 10 digs in the match, while senior Rachel Fish added 16 to go along with four assists. Freshman Erin McDermtt had 13 assists and three digs.
The Blue Devils will be back in action on the road at Bryant on Friday night at 7 p.m. They will then play at home on Nov. 5 vs. St. Francis Brooklyn and Nov. 6 vs. LIU Brooklyn.
