Volleyball Falls to Harvard
The Central Connecticut volleyball team will play at Brown next weekend.
The Central Connecticut volleyball team fell to Harvard on Saturday afternoon in the final match of the Harvard Invitational. The Blue Devils (0-6) will return to action next weekend at Brown.
The Crimson (2-0) won three straight sets 25-22, 28-26 and 25-21.
CCSU was led by 12 kills from junior Heather Trueman and seven kills from senior Rachel Dunlap.
As a team the Blue Devils hit .153 compared to a .306 hitting mark by Harvard.
Defensively, sophomore Rachel Fish totaled 15 digs, while senior Brittany Schumacher and freshman Lindsey Massicotte each posted 13.
Junior Ashley Lenington posted a team-high 27 assists. Lenington assisted on all but two of the Blue Devils 29 kills in the match.
Trueman was also the Blue Devils' representative on the all-tournament team.
The Blue Devils return to action next Friday in a tournament at Brown.
