
Cancellieri Silver Highlights Women's Track & Field At New England's

The Central Connecticut State women's track and field team ran at the New England Championships Saturday, hosted by UMass.
The Blue Devils are slated to compete at three events in the next week. CCSU will be at the UMass Last Chance to Qualify meet on Thursday, and then IC4A/ECAC Championship and Princeton Last Chance on Saturday and finishing Sunday at IC4A/ECAC.
- Juliana Cancellieri claimed the second spot in the 10,000m, running 35:54.89, while Rebecca Carusone crossed seventh at 37:34.48
- Wenesha Stewart placed fourth in the shot put, with an effort of 13.66m
- Maya Marin threw 43.46 in the discus to earn fourth place, while Stewart finished sixth with a throw of 42.07m
- Mya Morabito ran to a sixth place finish in the 800m, crossing the line at 2:16.34, and Kaylee Gravel finished 12th with a run of 2:17.58
- Taina DeJesus clocked a 1:03.94 in the 400m hurdles, good for sixth place
- Isabella Jensen (11:59.30) and Isabelle Mondo (12:08.03) were 15th and 16th in the 3000m steeplechase
