Saunders Sets School Record at USATF Indoor Championships
Junior jumps 1.82 meters to finish in fifth place
Junior Ronea Saunders set a new school record jumping 1.82 meters (5 Feet, 11.5 inches) at the 2014 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships on Sunday. Saunders topped her previous school-record of 1.78 meters. The championships were held in Albuquerque, NM.

Saunders finished fifth in the meet with her new school record. Earlier this year she defended her Northeast Conference Indoor high jump title with a jump of 1.73 meters. She also placed first at Rhode Island and jumped 1.75 meters at Boston University two weeks ago, finishing third.
The USATF Championship meet features elite and professional athletes from across the country and also serves as the selection meet for the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland in March.
