Wroblewski Earns NEC Rookie of the Week
Newcomer is joined on Prime Performer list by Cassidy Stotler
Central Connecticut swimming and diving newcomer Gabi Wroblewski was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Wednesday. She also was named an NEC Prime Performer, along with Cassidy Stotler, for their efforts in the dual meet win over Stonehill.
Wroblewski placed first in the 400 IM versus Stonehill, it a time of 4:36.32. That time is the best in the NEC by nearly three seconds. She also swam the 100 backstroke, touching at 1:04.00, the third best time at the meet and the 29th best swim in the conference this year.
Stotler split 24.52 in the butterfly leg of the Blue Devils medley relay win and won the 100 fly in a time of 58.20, the top time in the league this season.
The Blue Devils, who defeated Stonehill in the first dual meet of the season, host a two-day dual with the University of New Hampshire October 28-29. Competition begins at 5:00 pm on Friday and continues 11:00 am Saturday morning at Suydam Natatorium.
