Garber Posts NCAA B Cut in 100 Breast on Day Two at Frank Elm Invite
Blue Devils will finish competition on Sunday at Rutgers
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team competed on the second day of the Frank Elm Invite at Rutgers University on Saturday. The event spans three days and will end on Sunday.

SATURDAY RESULTS
Sophomore Maddy Garber placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 1:02.43. The time was her fastest of the 2015-16 season. Freshman Kailey Demers finished 21st in the same race with a time of 1:07.03.
The race was Garber's third of the day as she also competed in the 200 medley relay and the 400 IM. In the relay the team of freshman Kaitlyn Troy, Garber, junior Sabree Thomas and sophomore Lauren Rasile finished seventh with a time of 1:45.02.
Garber's time of 4:31.97 in the 400 IM was just behind freshman teammate Aidan Devers who finished 12th in a time of 4:31.74.
Thomas competed in the 100 butterfly and finished in 12th place with a time of 56.56. In the 200 freestyle sophomore Lauren Czulewicz was 11th with a time of 1:52.43. Troy was 12th in the 100 backstroke in 57.09.
Central had three teams in the 800 freestyle relay and they finished in 11th, 13th and 14th place overall.
FRIDAY RESULTS
Senior Kaitlyn Beaver finished seventh in the 1 meter diving event with a score of 214.95. She finished first among four divers from the Northeast Conference in the event. Freshman teammate Brianna Buehler finished 10th in the same event with a score of 206.80.
Central placed fourth in the first event of the night, the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team of senior Alaina Papiro, Lauren Czulewicz, junior Christine Rasile and Lauren Rasile finished with a time of 1:34.31 to place fourth. The meet record was broken by each of the first two teams in the race.
Devers finished 19th overall and third in the C Final with a time of 5:02.26 in the 500 yard freestyle.
Garber was 15th overall in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:08.88. Lauren Czulewicz was 21st in the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 24.14. Christine Rasile was 23rd at 24.25 and Lauren Rasile was 27th overall and third in the D Final at 24.20.
The Blue Devils ended the night with a sixth place finish in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:48.97. The team of Troy, Garber, junior Lisa Ward and Lauren Czulewicz took over six seconds off their seed time to place sixth.
