COACH QUOTE

"We are all delighted with the win and shutout today. We were able to minimize Howard's threats and we looked dangerous when we attacked. Our midfield trio of Lindsay, Kris, and Zoe deserve special recognition for winning the midfield battle."- Head Coach Mick D'Arcy

KEY MOMENTS

  • The Blue Devils opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a goal from Kelly Brady. Brady's one on one chance against the goalkeeper, Jaida Hendricks, was a result of some slick passing between Zoe McGlynn and Aoife Horgan. Brady sent the ball into the lower left corner of the goal where it found the back of the net.

  • Brady scored for the second time in the 48th minute after the Blue Devils were awarded a penalty. Gia Inzerillo beat two players and crossed the ball to McGlynn who was fouled as she was about to score. Hendricks made a great save on the penalty kick before Brady secured the rebound to score her second goal.

  • In the final five minutes of the game, Kiley Yepes scored CCSU's third and final goal with an assist from Kristina Kelly. This was Yepes' first goal of the season.
