Erica Bardes Named to the Women's Scholar All-America Team
The senior is the second Blue Devil in the past three years to earn the honor. Amanda McQuillan and Brianna Williams were named to the Women's Scholar All-Region First-Team.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team had three student-athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region and Erica Bardes was named to the All-America Third Team. Goalkeeper Amanda McQuillan, defender Brianna Williams, and Bardes were all selected to the All-Region First Team.

Bardes, a senior from Montvale, N.J., posted a 3.95 GPA as a Education and History major. During the season, she helped the Blue Devils go undefeated in the Northeast Conference and capture a third consecutive NEC title. Bardes, a NEC First-Team defender, was also awarded with the President's Citation Award. The senior scored one goal and added three assists, and was a key role in the Blue Devil defense that allowed just four goals in eight games. She was the second CCSU women's soccer player to be named to the All-American team in the last three years.
Junior Amanda McQuillan is an Economics major and posted a 3.55 GPA over the semester. On the pitch, she did not allow a single goal against Northeast Conference opponents. During that span she saved all 13 shots on net. The stellar season landed her to the NEC First-Team and the NEC Goalkeeper of the Year.
Defender Brianna Williams, a Social Work major out of Tomkins Cove, N.Y., posted a 3.88 GPA. She was the catalyst of the CCSU defense and was named the Northeast Conference Defender of the Year. The three-time conference champion was also named to the NEC First-Team.
