Three Blue Devils Make Scholar All-East Region Team
Three women's soccer players made the 2018 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Women's Scholar All-East Region Team.
Three players of the Central Connecticut women's soccer team were named to the 2018 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-East Region Team. Seniors Charlotte Maurer and Danielle Pearse were named to the First Team and junior Emily Hogan was named to the Second Team.

Maurer, is studying Marketing and has a 3.65 GPA. She was the 2018 Northeast Conference Midfielder of the Year, totaling 21 points on eight goals and five assists as a senior. The Northampton, MA native was an All-NEC First Team selection and the top vote-getter among midfielders for the NEWISA Senior Bowl.
Pearse, also selected for the NEWISA Senior Bowl and All-NEC First Team honoree, is majoring in Biology with a 3.63 GPA. The senior midfielder was named the Northeast Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring three goals in the tournament. Pearse finished her collegiate career with 21 goals and six assists.
Hogan, played in all 20 contests this season making 19 starts. The junior recorded an assist against UConn and the final goal in Central's 6-1 win over Wagner. Hogan has a 3.45 GPA and is a double-major in Political Science and Business.
CCSU finished the season with a 16-2-2 record went a perfect 8-0 in league play. The Blue Devils won the Northeast Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
