Women's Lacrosse Drops Home Finale to Sacred Heart
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse dropped its home finale to Sacred Heart, 14-4, on Wednesday at Arute Field. The Blue Devils trailed throughout in a wet and cold, windy game that was moved back due to thunderstorms in the area.
Senior Molly Coogan led CCSU with two goals.

KEY MOMENTS
- Sacred Heart scored the games first five goals and would hold CCSU scoreless until Coogan scored her first of the game at the 18:25 mark.
- Following a pair of SHU goals, CCSU got back to back scores from junior Raphaela DaSilva and Coogan to make it 7-3 midway through the first half.
- The Pioneers would score four straight to close the first half and opened the second half with two goals to push their lead to double-digits. Freshman Eliz Fino scored for Central with 1:24 to play before SHU tacked on a goal with 0:42 remaining to settle the scoring.

- Coogan added two ground balls and a draw control.
- Senior Cooper Cowdin made 13 saves and had a team-high seven ground balls.
- Senior Emma Sullivan hadfour ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
