Women's Lacrosse Falls at Saint Francis U
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse lost at Saint Francis U, 17-6, on Saturday in a Northeast Conference contest in Loretto, PA. The Blue Devils outscored the Red Flash in the second half, but it was not enough to erase a first half deficit.
Graduate student Morgan Sinton scored twice for CCSU, while senior Kaitlyn Rapp, junior Jessica Denike, and freshmen Katelyn Parker and Eliz Fino each had a goal. Fino added two assists, while Denike added another.
Central hosts Bryant on Wednesday, March 24.

KEY MOMENTS
- SFU opened the scoring just 22 seconds into the contest and would build a 13-0 lead with 4:16 to play in the opening period, before graduate student Morgan Sinton got CCSU on the board with 2:35 to play in the half.
- Freshman Katelyn Parker scored for Central to open the second half. SFU would follow with a pair of goals before the Blue Devils would score four straight goals. The Red Flash scored with 1:50 to play to close out the scoring.
NOTES
- Sinton has scored in all but one game this season and has a team-high 10 goals.
- Fino posted her second career multi-point game.
- Central had 21 ground balls, to 16 for SFU. Senior Olivia Prizzi and sophomore Alexandra Ruel each had four ground balls.
- The Blue Devils forced 16 turnovers. Denike had a team-high three caused turnovers.
