Women's Lacrosse Stopped at Sacred Heart on Wednesday
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team fell at Sacred Heart, 16-4, on Wednesday afternoon in Northeast Conference action in Fairfield, CT. The Blue Devils scored three straight to get within a goal midway through the opening half before the Pioneers would begin to pull away.
Sophomore Alexandra Ruel scored a pair of goals, while junior Jessica Denike and graduate student Morgan Sinton each had one score.
Central hosts LIU on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

- Sacred Heart scored the first four goals before CCSU responded with three straight. Junior Jessica Denike scored on a free position shot before sophomore Alexandra Ruel scored a pair of unassisted goals and made it 4-3 with 16:12 to play in the first half.
- The Pioneers would score three goals at the end of the first half and then scored a pair of goals to open the second half and build a 9-3 lead.
