Blue Devils Host Saint Francis For Last Games of the Season
Central looks to snap losing streak at home versus SFU.
Central Connecticut will host Saint Francis U on Thursday, Mar.4 and Friday, Mar. 5 for the final two games of the 2020-21 season. Both games will tip off at 4:00 pm. Central dropped its last four games and will come into the series with a record of 4-12 overall and in NEC play. Saint Francis U is currently tied for second place with Wagner in the NEC standings with a record of 10-4 (12-8 overall).

The Blue Devils recently lost two games on the road at Wagner. Junior Forever Toppin notched a career high 26 points on Monday. She went 9-20 from the floor, including 2-5 from downtown. Toppin was named a NEC prime performer for the second week in a row. Freshman Belle Lanpher tied a career high 15 points in the loss on Sunday. She has scored in double figures four times this season. Lanpher averaged 20.5 minutes in the series with Wagner. As a team, the Blue Devils shot 35.7% in both losses. It marked the 13th time CCSU has shot under 40% this season.
After going on a 11 game winning streak and starting 9-0 in conference play, the Red Flash have dropped four of its last five games. Saint Francis was most recently swept by Mount St. Mary's, losing both games by double digits. Senior guard Karson Swogger averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds over the two games. Haley Thomas put up 8.0 points and had 4 steals in each game.
