Blue Devils Hit the Road for the Final Time of the 2020-21 Season
Central will take on Wagner on Sunday and Monday.
Central Connecticut hits the road for the final time of the 2020-21 for a two-game series with the Wagner Seahawks. Game one is on Sunday, Feb. 28, with game two on Monday, Mar. 1. Both games will tip off at 4:00 pm. Central dropped its last two games and now stands at 4-10 overall and in NEC play. Wagner comes into the series in a tie for third place with Sacred Heart at 8-4 in conference play. The games will stream for free on Necfrontrow.com.

The Blue Devils most recently dropped two games at home against LIU. Forever Toppin tried to will Central to a victory, averaging 15.5 points in the series. The junior was named a NEC prime performer for week 11. Sophomore Dejah Jenkins scored a career high 18 points on Thursday. Jenkins made 6 field goals and went 5-6 from the foul line. Belle Lanpher continued her stellar freshman season, scoring 8 points in both games. While she did not make a field goal in the first match-up, she went a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line. Lanpher is now shooting 84.1% from the charity stripe this season.
The Seahawks most recently split a series at home against the Bryant Bulldogs. Emilija Krista Grava averaged 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds. She leads the team in scoring at 13.2 points per game. Wagner had four players score in double figures in the win on Wednesday. However, Wagner scored just 43 points the following day, a season low. The team shot just 18-62 from the floor (29.0%).
