CCSU Women's Basketball Takes on In-State Rivals
The Blue Devils will play at Sacred Heart on Thursday night and back at home on Saturday afternoon.
CCSU will take on in-state rivals Sacred Heart on Thursday, Jan. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 30. Thursday's game will be in Fairfield and tip off at 7:00 pm, while Saturday's game will be at home in the Detrick Gym and tip off at 1:00 pm.The Blue Devils come in with a record of 2-4 overall and 2-4 in NEC play. The Pioneers stand at 3-5 overall and 3-3 in NEC play. No fans will be allowed to attend the games, but they will stream live for free on NEC Front Row.

The Blue Devils are coming off a pair of double digit losses at Mount St. Mary's over the weekend. Forever Toppin tied a season high 16 points on Sunday, shooting 3-6 from three point land. Angelique Rodriguez had a solid weekend off the bench, averaging 6.0 points per game and 3.0 rebounds. Junior Danielle Delano also scored a season high 10 points in just 11 minutes of play on Sunday. She knocked down 2 three pointers and went a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line. Carly Reynolds made her first career start on Saturday for the Blue Devils. The center scored 4 points in each game over the weekend.
Sacred Heart recently split its season series with Mount St. Mary's on January, 14 and 15. Adrianne Hagood led the way, averaging 15.0 points. Sacred Heart had 5 players score in double figures in the win.

Central would snap a four game losing streak to Sacred Heart, with the last win coming in the 2017-18 season. Sacred Heart swept CCSU last season, winning the first game 66-58 and the second 54-52.
