The Central Connecticut women's basketball team hosts the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. The team will honor its four seniors prior to the start of the game. The Blue Devils still have a chance to clinch the final spot in the Northeast Conference Tournament. The Knights scored taking a one point lead with 13.1 seconds to play, and Central got a good look at the rim but missed and was forced to foul. FDU hit back to back free throws to go onto win and put themselves one step closer to post season play.
St. Francis Brooklyn secured a quarterfinal home game for the Northeast Conference Tournament with a 69-65 win over Mount St. Mary's. Freshman Ebony Horton scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Terriers.
