Sophomore Kiana Patterson came out on fire from the floor, tallying 12 points in the quarter on 5-of-6 shooting, including two three-pointers.
Kovatch did not stay quiet long, scoring nine straight points for the Red Flash in the final three minutes of the period cut the CCSU lead to six points, 26-20, at the end of one.
St. Francis ignited on a 17-2 run to start the second quarter. SFU switched the momentum and took its first lead at 6:36 from a Mya Wynn three-pointer. During the Red Flash run, they forced Centrla to turn the ball over 12 times. Down by five with 1:50 left, and their six-game win streak on the line, Pennsylvania native, Lydon drained a jumpshot to make it a one possession game, and sank two free throws making the score, 82-81. Kovatch would then seal the victory with her ninth three of the game.
