Men's Cross Country Opens Season at UMass Saturday
The Blue Devils will next host the 15th Annual Ted Owen Invitational on Sept. 23.
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team opened it's 2017 season at Massachusett's Minuteman Invitational on Saturday, September 9. The men finished seventh as a team across the 6K course in Amherst, MA. Junior Alex Norstrom came in 13th place and was the first runner in for CCSU at 19:40. Sophomore Roberto Piotto was next in 22nd place with a time of 19:45.
Sophomore Richard Grudzwick completed the 6k course in 20:57. Rookie Charlie Taubl raced in at 21:18 in his collegiate debut.
Rounding out the Blue Devil runners was juniors Kyle Welch (22:00) and Adonys Langual (22:49).
The Blue Devils will next host their 15th Annual Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT on Saturday, September 23. The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m. Full meet information will be released at a later date on www.ccsubluedevils.com.
