Two Blue Devils Advance During Day Two of the ECAC Championships Saturday
Three Blue Devils will compete in the final day of the ECAC Championships.
Two athletes qualified for the finals of their events during day two of the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Saturday at the BU Track and Tennis Center.
IC4A/ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS DAY TWO RESULTS
Junior Richard Grudzwick earned a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:50.03 and will qualify for the finals.
Classmate Quincy Sanchez will also advance to the finals in his event. The junior recorded a qualifying time of 8.26 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.
In the long jump, junior Kevorni Welsh leaped 6.80 meters earning an 11th-place finish.
The men's 4x400 team, consisting of senior Akiel Smith, junior Jack St. Clair, sophomore Darius Wise, and rookie Jason Walton, finished in 3:21.09. Sophomore Miles-Fye Moore competed in the 200-meter dash and recorded a time of 22.08, but would not advance.
In the final day of the IC4A/ECAC Championships, junior Marquis Ward will compete in the triple jump at 9:30 a.m., Sanchez will run the 60-meter hurdles final at 11:45 a.m., and Grudzwick will run the 800-meter final at 1:05 p.m.
