Men's Soccer Falters at Rider on Thursday
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team opened the scoring in the game at Rider, but would succumb to the Broncs, 4-1, on Thursday at Ben Cohen Field in Lawrenceville, CT. Freshman Erik Hjersson scored the opening goal just under 24 minutes into the game before Rider came back with four unanswered goals.

KEY MOMENTS
- Central opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Freshman Erik Hjersson took a feed from freshman Austin Rocke and slotted a shot to the lower left to make it 1-0.
- Rider would respond with a pair of goals before halftime to take the lead. Regis Dulck tied the game at the 37:43 mark and Adel Al-Masude made it 2-1 just before halftime at the 42:13 mark.
- The Broncs tacked on a pair of goals to cushion the margin in the second half. Sergio Aguinaga scored at 60:58 to make it a two-goal game. Zaki Alibou rounded out the scoring at the 73:06 mark.
