Men's Soccer Suffers Shutout at LIU in Setback
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team had its two-game win streak snapped after falling at LIU, 4-0, on Monday at LIU Soccer Park. The Blue Devils were even with the Sharks at halftime before LIU scored four goals for the win.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils forced LIU's Demetri Skoumbakis to make one save in the first half after junior Sean Gannon took a shot to the lower left that was stopped. Junior Jason Dubrovich made five stops for CCSU in the opening half to keep the game even.
- The Sharks opened the scoring just after halftime following a corner kick. Fridtjof Andberg would convert off a feed from Javier Rehberger at the 46:15 mark to make it 1-0.
- LIU would add three more goals after halftime, while keeping the Central offense at bay. The Blue Devils were unable to get a shot off until the 87th minute when freshman Kacper Skonieczny had his shot stopped by Skoumbakis.
NOTES
- Dubrovich finished with six saves for CCSU.
- Freshman Kyle Halehale, along with Gannon and Skonieczny, accounted for a CCSU shot attempt.
- The Blue Devils and Sharks each had three corner kicks.
- CCSU entered the contest allowing 0.95 goals per game, which ranked second in the NEC.
