Men's Soccer Stopped by Quinnipiac Friday night
The Blue Devils host Hartford on Tuesday
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team fell to Quinnipiac, 4-1, on Friday night at CCSU Soccer Field in New Britain, CT. Freshman Jamie Simpson scored his first career goal, while sophomore Jason Dubrovich made six saves for the Blue Devils. CCSU hosts Hartford on Tuesday night.

"In the second half I thought we responded great and didn't lie down, we went flat out," said head coach Shaun Green. "We got that goal back and I thought it was a good response in the second half, we played some pretty good football."
KEY MOMENTS
- Simpson forced a save by Quinnipiac's Jared Mazzola just three minutes into the game, but the Bobcats would crack the scoreboard first, taking a 3-0 lead into halftime.
- Central had two early shots and a corner in the second half. Simpson drew a penalty kick in the 60th minute, after his shot was saved he put home the rebound to make it 3-1.
- A shot by junior Eddie Yepes went just wide a minute later that would've got Central within a goal. The Bobcats put the game out of reach with a goal at 69:16 to close the scoring.
