The second goal came in the 38th minute when Naeem Charles sent a corner kick in and found the head of Jacob Smith who nodded a shot in to make it 2-0.
The Blue Devils came out in the second half with more pressure on the the Blackbirds' defense. The best chance came in the 70th minute when senior Ben Knight took a free kick just inside midfield and sent a ball to the far post where senior Freddy Metellus headed a pass back to the middle and found freshman Louis Beddouri. LIU held a 21-3 advantage in shots forcing Velleca into three saves. Keys made just one save to collect the shutout.
