Tre Breland and Jay Rodgers led CCSU with 12 points apiece. CCSU shot 19-of-55 (.345) from the field overall and 5-of-13 (.385) from three-point range. Central was just 5-of-14 (.357) from the foul line.
Tedrick Wilcox scored 15 points to lead three in double-figures for SFBK. The Terriers shot 23-of-58 (.397) overall and 4-of-15 (.267) from the arc. St. Francis Brooklyn was 3-of-9 (.333) from the foul line.
The Blue Devils travel to Sacred Heart on Saturday in the teams' first meeting of the year.

KEY MOMENTS
- St. Francis scored eight straight points and after a Wilcox layup made it 13-4, CCSU would call timeout at the 13:24 mark of the opening half. Central would begin the game shooting just 2-of-11, but following the timeout CCSU would make 4-of-5 shots.
- Back-to-back three-pointers from Kellen Amos and Tre Breland would give CCSU its first lead of the game at 19-16. The Blue Devils outscored the Terriers, 13-3, late in the half, but after a putback by Breland with 2:14 left in the half, Central would be shutout and SFBK would lead 24-23 at halftime.
- The Terriers would push the lead to seven early in the second half before CCSU used an 11-2 run to go ahead 37-35. The spurt included seven unanswered points for CCSU, including five straight from Rodgers. A jumper by Breland with 10:07 to play gave Central the lead.
- CCSU would lead 41-39 with 5:49 remaining, but SFBK scored seven straight in a span of 1:21 to take the lead for good. The Terriers would build a 50-43 lead with 2:36 to go before CCSU would mount a late rally. Breland would hit a three-pointer and a floater by Scantlebury with 0:43 left made it 50-48. SFBK would rebound its own miss in the closing seconds and a flagrant foul was assessed on the play. The Terriers would hit 1-of-2 at the line and convert a jumpshot to seal the result.
QUOTABLE
"St. Francis played a tough, gritty game today," said head coach Patrick Sellers. "They were good on defense and outrebounded us in the second half. In order to win conference road games we have to be tougher and grittier, especially down the stretch."
