In the opening weekend of conference play, Amos led all players in scoring (28.0 ppg), three-point accuracy (.889), three-pointers per game (4.0) and was third in field goal percentage (.710). Amos poured in a career-high 36 in the win over St. Francis Brooklyn. He shot 13-of-16 overall and was 6-for-6 on three-pointers. In the second half vs. the Terriers he scored 24 pts on 9-of-10 shooting, including making all four three-pointers he shot. With his second game going 6-for-6 from three-point range, he is the first player since 2013 to post two games in a season with at least six triples without a miss. He added a 20-point outing in the NEC opener on Thursday against Saint Francis U.
The honor was the second of the year for Amos, who was also Player of the Week on Dec. 19. On the season, Amos has posted five 20-point scoring games. He ranks third in the NEC in field goal percentage (.490), fourth in three-poiners per game (2.2), sixth with 15.4 points per game, and eighth in three-point shooting (.393). He adds 0.6 blocked shots per game in 30.6 minutes.
