OPENING NOTES
• Central Connecticut opens the 2022-23 season at Massachusetts on Monday.
• Patrick Sellers begins his second season at the helm of Central. His squad returns three starters and a total of eight letterwinners.
• CCSU will travel to Manhattan on Friday before playing their home opener on Nov. 13.
WHAT TO KNOW
• CCSU returnees contributed 41.1 points per game and 21.1 rebounds per game last season. The Blue Devils return 66.5% of their scoring and 66.1% of their rebounding production.
• The Blue Devils compiled 235 three-pointers in 2021-22, the second-highest single-season total in program history. CCSU ranked third in the Northeast Conference converting trifectas at a .342 clip, while making 7.3 per game which ranked fourth in the league.
• Nigel Scantlebury finished the season ranked among the top-15 in six statistical categories in the conference. He ranked 41st nationally in foul shooting, while ranking second in the NEC, at .864. He was also second in the league, converting at .414 clip from the three-point line.
• Andre Snoddy earned NEC All-Rookie Team honors last season and was NEC Rookie of the Week six times. He led all freshmen in scoring (8.0 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg) and assists (1.5 apg).
