Men's Basketball Hosts Arcadia in Exhibition Game Saturday
General admission seating will be limited for upcoming season.
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team will open the 2018-19 season on Saturday, with an exhibition game against Arcadia University in Detrick Gymnasium. Gametime is set for 4:00 p.m. and admission is FREE and open to all fans.
The free exhibition game will be the first opportunity for fans to see the Blue Devils this season as head coach Donyell Marshall heads into his third season at the helm of the program. CCSU opens the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Hartford in a 7:00 p.m. tip off.

**DETRICK GYMNASIUM SEATING INFORMATION: The seating configuration for basketball games in Detrick Gymnasium for the 2018-19 season will be affected due to ongoing construction of the Huang Recreation Center. The general admission bleachers on the east side of Detrick Gymnasium will be closed during the upcoming season. Students will sit in sections 1 and 6, as well as at the top of sections 3 and 4. Seating for all fans will be confined to the bleacher seating on the west side of Detrick Gymnasium. Season tickets in the reserved seating sections are available.
Senior Tyler Kohl and fellow senior Deion Bute are returning starters for Central. Kohl started 28 games and led the team in scoring (16.7 ppg), rebounding (8.2 rpg), assists (4.1 apg) and steals (1.4 spg) and earned Second Team All-NEC honors. Kohl was one of two players nationally to lead his team in all four categories and the only player in the conference to rank in the Top 10 in each category. Bute ranked second in the Northeast Conference in field goal percentage and averaged 10.1 points per game. Junior Joe Hugley is also back after scoring double-figures in 13 games last season, including back-to-back 20-point outings to close the year.
Central was tabbed sixth in the NEC Coaches' Preseason Poll announced at the league's "Social" Media Day on Wednesday. Kohl was also named to the Preseason All-NEC Team.
The Blue Devils open the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Hartford in Chase Arena.
