Bio

BIO: Burrell joined the Central Connecticut coaching staff after spending over 20 seasons on the Brown coaching staff.  Burrell has been on the staffs of four championship teams; 2019 at CCSU and three Ivy League titles at Brown. With the Bears he coached First Team All-Americans in consecutive seasons and mentored over 20 All-Ivy selections. In addition to coaching at Brown, he spent time at Wesleyan University, Southern Connecticut, and Bethune-Cookman College. Burrell earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Connecticut in 1990 and was a four-year letterwinner and team captain as a senior. He is originally from Hamden, CT, and also played professional football for the  French Professional Football League.
