Northeast Conference Announces 2022 Football Slate
The Northeast Conference announced its 2022 football schedule on Tuesday, along with each of the eight teams that comprise the league. The conference slate will include seven conference games, with every team facing each other once throughout the campaign.
The Blue Devils will be part of the opening NEC contest of the season on Sept. 10 when they host defending conference champion Sacred Heart at Arute Field.
The Blue Devils will open the season against in-state rival UConn on Sept. 3. The game will be played at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
Central's opening home game will come the following weekend against Sacred Heart to begin conference play. The Blue Devils will host five games at Arute Field during the season, including four Northeast Conference contests.
Following the home-opener, CCSU will play three straight road contests. The Blue Devils will host Brown on Oct. 8 for Homecoming.
Central will also play host to Duquesne (Oct. 22), Wagner (Oct. 29) and Merrimack (Nov. 12). CCSU will play road contests at Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 17), UAlbany (Sept. 24), Saint Francis U (Oct. 1), LIU (Nov. 5), and Bryant (Nov. 19).
The 2022 FCS Playoffs will begin on Nov. 26.
