
Big Inning Lifts Baseball by UAlbany on Tuesday
The Central Connecticut baseball team pushed out six runs in the third inning and won its fourth straight with an 11-5 victory at Varsity Field in Albany, NY. CCSU got at least one hit from each of its starters to build an eight-run lead in the game..

KEY MOMENTS
- Central erased a 1-0 run by pushing across six runs in the third inning. Louis Jordan and Rob Natale opened the inning with a pair of singles before an error allowed Jordan to score. A sac fly would plate Natale to make it 2-1. A double by Aidan Redahan and a single by Chris Brown would each score a run to make it 4-1. A two-out double by Antonio Ducatelli drove in two more to make it 6-1.
- Ducatelli singled in two more runs in the fifth and Redahan drove in a run with a single to make it 9-1.
- Jacob Hines would allow a solo homerun to Luke Filippi in the second, but that was his only blemish. He allowed two hits in 4.0 innings and struck out three. The Great Danes would push across three runs in the seventh inning on a pair of singles and a passed ball to make it 9-4.
- Central tacked on two more insurance runs in the eighth inning, while UAlbany got one in the bottom of the frame to close the scoring.

- Central had 13 hits, with all nine starters collecting at least one, and has collected 10+ hits in 21 straight games as a team.
