
Brown Named NEC Baseball co-Player of the Week; Trio Earn Prime Performer
Central Connecticut infielder Chris Brown was named Northeast Conference Baseball co-Player of the Week it was announced Tuesday. Brown was joined on the league's list of Prime Performers by Vincent Borghese and Bo Yaworski after helping CCSU continue its nation-leading conference win streak.
Brown extended his hit streak to seven games after collecting two hits in each game at UMES last weekend.He ranks among the team leaders with 35 runs scored and 33 RBIs. In NEC play he is batting .468 with a team-high 34 runs and 30 RBIs.

Borghese won his seventh straight decision, tossing his sixth straight complete game. In a win at UMES, after allowing a first inning run he tossed six blank innings and recocrded nine strikeouts

Yaworski banged out four extra-base hits including a homerun in the opener of Saturday's doubleheader. He is batting .382 on the year with 32 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
