Martinez Named NEC Baseball Player of the Week
Central Connecticut junior Noah Martinez was named Northeast Conference Baseball Player of the Week it was announced Tuesday. Niman was named Pitcher of the Week and Spizzoucco took home NEC Rookie of the Week.
Martinez batted .333 with a .412 on-base percentage and a 1.133 slugging percentage in a three-game series against FDU. The junior infielder hit four dingers, scored five runs, and drove in a team-high of 10 runs in a sweep of the Knights to help CCSU move into a tie for first-place in the league standings.
