Baseball to Face Sacred Heart at Dunkin' Donuts Park on May 8
The Central Connecticut baseball team will be playing Sacred Heart at Dunkin' Donuts Park in a Northeast Conference matchup on May 8 at 2:30 p.m. A limited number of tickets will be available for fans to be in attendance as the Hartford Yard Goats will use the game as a soft opening in preparation for the 2021 season.
A limited number of tickets are available for purchase on the Yard Goats' website for $10 and will be delivered digitally. The Yard Goats are the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies and this marks the fourth season that they have hosted college baseball games. The game will serve as a soft opening for the 2021 season, with a full variety of concessions available, in-game entertainment, and more.
The Yard Goats are following current CDC protocols, and working with the State of Connecticut, City of Hartford, and Major League Baseball to ensure our facility fosters a safe environment for fans, players and staff. All guests two (2) years of age or older and staff members must wear facial coverings that cover both nose and mouth while at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Guests may temporarily remove facial coverings while actively consuming food or beverage while in their ticketed seat. Dunkin' Donuts Park is now a cashless/contactless venue. Gift and credit/debit cards will be accepted at the Box Office, Yard Goats Team Store, and food and beverage locations.
This season the Blue Devils took 2-of-3 games in the season-opening NEC series against Sacred Heart on March 19-21. Central is currently 15-9 overall and sit in second-place in the league standings with a 12-6 mark. CCSU plays at Wagner this weekend in a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 30.
