Baseball Falls to UConn in Elliot Ballpark Opener
The Central Connecticut baseball team fell at UConn, 2-0, on Tuesday in Storrs, CT, in the first game played at Elliot Ballpark. The Huskies scored an unearned run in the first and an insurance run in the eighth for all the offense in the game.
Central travels to Fairleigh Dickinson for a three-game series beginning Friday.

KEY MOMENTS
- UConn scored a run in the bottom of the first. With two outs, the Huskies took advantage of an error with Kyler Fedko coming home to make it 1-0.
- The Huskies added a run in the bottom of the eighth after Christian Fedko led off with a walk. He moaved to second on a single and would score on single up the middle by Erik Stock to make it 2-0.

- Junior Peyton Stephens started for CCSU and tossed 1.0 inning. He allowed one unearned run, while recording a pair of strikeouts with a walk.
- CCSU used eight pitchers in the contest, with each throwing 1.0 inning. The bullpen combined to allow just four hits, while recording five strikeouts.
- Freshmen Noah Martinez and Hunter Pasqualini each had a double for CCSU. Senior Buddy Dewaine and junior Sam Loda recorded singles.
- UConn was playing its first home game in 682 days while construction of Elliot Ballpark was underway.
