Dana Earns Athlete of the Week Honors
Senior runner Ashley Dana represented the Blue Devils for the third time this season in this week's Northeast Conference Awards. She took home Athlete of the Week honors as well as being named a NEC Prime Performer.
Senior runner Ashley Dana represented the Blue Devils for the third time this season in this week's Northeast Conference Awards. She took home Athlete of the Week honors as well as being named a NEC Prime Performer.
Dana was named Athlete of the Week thanks to an impressive showing at the New England Championships last weekend in Boston, MA. Dana Finished fourth against 121 other runners in 18:10 to lead the Blue Devils to a second-place finish.
Dana narrowly beat out her teammate Brooke Morabito who came in fifth with a time of 18:12. Morabito was also named a Prime Performer along with graduate student Kaitlyn Stevens. Stevens placed 14th with a time of 18:48, rounding out the Blue Devils top three finishers in the competition.
The women's cross country team will be back in action on Friday, October 21st for their CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Park in New Britain, CT.
