Dana Wins Individual at Father Bede Invitational; Women's Cross Country Places Second

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team placed second at the season-opening Father Bede Invitational on Friday at Immergrun GC in Loretto, PA. Senior Ashley Dana won the individual title, completing the course in 18:44.0 to win by six seconds over the field of 89 runners.

• Junior Brooke Morabito earned a top-three finish, running the course in 18:55.6 to place third. 

• Sophomore Rebecca Carusone placed 15th in a time of 20:12.5. 

• Freshmen Maegan Desmarais(20:37.3) and Kaylee Gravel(20:39.4) scored for Central as well as junior Maggie LoSchiavo(21:04.0). 

NOTES 

• The Blue Devils had a score of 60 points to place second. Duquesne placed first with 28 points.
