Women's Cross Country Posts Five Personal Bests at NCAA Northeast Regionals Friday

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team had five personal best times at the 2019 NCAA Northeast Regional Championships in Buffalo, NY. Junior Megan Brawner led the Blue Devils in the 6K course with a time of 20:57.0 in 68^th place out of a field of 266 runners. The team finished 24^th against 37 schools.

Junior Megan Brawner was the first Blue Devil to clock in at 20:57.0 in 68^th place. She surpassed her previous personal best time in the 6K (24:00.0).
Classmate Angie Rafter finished less than one second after Brawner in 71^st place with a new best time of 21:00.6.
Sophomore Ashley Dana was next in for CCSU completing the course in 21:46.9, a collegiate best.

NOTES

Central had two Blue Devils finish in the top 100 out of a field of 266 runners.
Five Blue Devils ran personal bests at the meet.
The team finished in 24^th place against 37 other schools.
Of the three Northeast Conference schools competing, CCSU had the best team score.
