Women's Cross Country Runs at New England Championships Saturday

Central hosts the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, Oct. 25.

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team competed in the New England Championships Saturday in Franklin Park in Boston, MA. The team finished 11^th out of 22 teams. Juniors Angie Rafter and Megan Brawner finished in the top 25 out of a field of 154 runners.

Junior Angie Rafter came in 20^th place with a time of 18:25.6.
Classmate Megan Brawner clocked in right beside Rafter at 18:30.0 in 21^st place.
Sophomore Ashley Dana was next in for the Blue Devils at 19:16.1.

NOTES

Last season at New Englands, the Blue Devils finished 10^th out of 24 teams.
Rafter finished 10^th overall with a time of 18:17.8 last year at the meet.
Rafter and Brawner have led Central in all three meets so far this season.
