Women's Cross Country Runs at ECAC/IC4A Championships

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team ran at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY. The Blue Devils placed 16th in the 25-team field. Junior Dawn Hubbell led the CCSU runners in the 210-runner field.
The meet completes the 2017 season for Central Connecticut.
Hubbell completed the 5K course in 18:57.5 to place 53rd overall. Junior Madeline Mondo finished in 19:18.7 to place 73rd.
Freshman Megan Brawner was the next CCSU runner to cross the line, completing the course in 19:26.5 to place 80th.
Freshman Angelia Rafter finished in 19:59.3 and classmate Kaitlyn Stevens crossed the line in 20:15.1 to place 121st and 140th, respectively.
Junior Morgan Ricci turned in a time of 20:40.1 and senior Olivia Mondo ran 20:42.1 to round out the Central contingent of runners.
James Madison won the team competition with a score of 60 points, just ahead of Richmond which placed second with 73 points.
The Blue Devils' season is now complete and they earned a second-place finish at the Northeast Conference championships.
