Women's Cross Country Runs at Iona Br. Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions
Blue Devils run at the Ted Owen Invitational on September 24.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team placed eighth in the team results at the Iona Br. Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY. Sophomore Madeline Mondo led the Blue Devils individually in the field of 135 runners.
Mondo placed 31st, completing the 5K course in a time of 19:30.9 Junior Victoria Cronin was just behind, placing 32nd and completing the course in 19:31.4. They had average mile times of 6:16.8 and 6:17.0, respectively.
Senior Brandy LeClair finished the course in 20:09.4 and placed 56th. Sophomore Dawn Hubbell turned in a time of 20:11.9 to place 60th. Sophomore Morgan Ricci also ran for the Blue Devils and finished in 22:12.8.
The Blue Devils host the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park on Saturday, September 24.
