Eberhardt Wins, CCSU Fourth at NEC Championship
Senior runs 17:27.57 to win individual title.
Senior Elizabeth Eberhardt won medalist honors at the 2014 Northeast Conference Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday, and led Central Connecticut to a fourth place team finish. The Blue Devils hosted the 5K race at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT.

Eberhardt finished with a time of 17:27.57, which was three seconds faster than the second place finisher.

Sacred Heart won the team title with a score of 43, followed by Bryant (73), St. Francis U (76) and then the Blue Devils (81). Mount St. Mary's (129), Robert Morris (152), Wagner (153) St. Francis Brooklyn (242), Fairleigh Dickinson (269) and LIU Brooklyn (278) rounded out the field.
Eberhardt averaged a 6:08 mile in the victory, claiming the individual title in her final season with the Blue Devils. She also earns an All-Conference selection with her victory and was named the 2014 NEC Outstanding Performer of the race.
Freshman Brittany Mendelson was the second finisher for the Blue Devils, coming in 14th place overall with a time of 18:22.67. Medelson joined Eberhardt on the All-Conference team with her 14th place finish.
Seniors Krisztina Dearborn and Shannon McBride finished 19th and 21st overall with respective times of 18:31.51 and 18:37.67. Crossing the finish line fifth and rounding out the scoring for the Blue Devils was junior Ally Gates. Gates finished with a time of 18:57.99 and was 26th overall.
Junior Jazmin Booker finished 36th overall in 19:28.17, while freshman Kathleen Wysocki was 49th coming in at 19:58.30.
