Women's XC Finishes 22nd at New England Championships
The Blue Devils were led by senior Elizabeth Eberhardt at the New England Championships.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished 22nd at the New England Championships on Saturday. Central's top-five scoring runners tallied 594 points for the team. The Blue Devils were led by senior Elizabeth Eberhardt and her 33rd place finish. The 5k race was held at Franklin Park in Boston, MA and featured 38 teams and 262 total runners.

Eberhardt was the only Blue Devil to crack the top 100. She finished in 33rd place with a time of 18:20.80 on a 5:54.4 mile pace.
Senior Krisztina Dearborn crossed the finish line second for the Blue Devils in 105th place with a time of 18:58.57 followed by fellow classmate Shannon McBride with a time of 19:10.60.
Rounding out the scoring runners for CCSU were junior Ally Gates and junior Jazmin Booker. Gates finished in 131st place with a time of 19:13.89 and Booker finished in 199th place with a time of 20:15.92.
Freshman Victoria Cronin and senior Taylor LePage also competed for the Blue Devils in the race. Cronin finished in 222nd place with a time of 20:34.98 and LePage finished in 247th place with a time of 21:21.97.
New Hampshire earned the victory at the meet scoring 61 total points. CCSU was the third team to represent the Northeast Conference. They finished behind Sacred Heart (4th place) and Bryant (21st place).
Central Connecticut will return home for their next scheduled meet on Oct. 24 for the CCSU Mini Meet. The race takes place at Stanley Quarter Park, which will also be the site of the 2014 Northeast Conference Championships on Nov. 1. The shotgun for the women's race is scheduled to go off at 3:30 p.m.
