Volleyball Tabbed Fifth in NEC Preseason Poll

The Northeast Conference announced its volleyball preseason coaches' poll on Thursday. Central Connecticut State University was tabbed fifth, while Saint Francis U was picked as the preseason favorite.

  • Head coach Alyssa Broccoli will begin her 1st season as head coach for the Blue Devils.
  • SFU collected four first-place votes and was picked first, just ahead of LIU which collected the other four first place votes. FDU and Chicago State rounded out the top four.
  • The Blue Devils open Northeast Conference play at home against Chicago State on October 4 and 5.
  • CCSU will close the regular season at LIU on November 15 and 16.
  • The 2024 NEC Tournament will feature the top-four finishers in the regular season, with the tournament champion advancing to the NCAA Tournament. The tournament will be held at the highest seed on November 22 and 23.
