Volleyball Stopped at FDU
Central Connecticut volleyball was bested in its road match against Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, dropping the match 3-1.

KEY MOMENTS
- Isabella Bratzke gave CCSU an early 4-3 lead, but the Knights snapped off a 5-0 run to take an 8-4 lead in the first.
- The Blue Devils kept the same distance until a 5-1 run from the Knights helped them pull away.
- Ashlyn Eisenga assisted on a kill then served up two straight points for CCSU to bring them to within five, but FDU ultimately grabbed the first set 25-15.
- After scoring the first three points in the second set, the Blue Devils served up two service aces to get them to within a point of the Knights.
- Both teams battled with short runs after this as CCSU tied it up twice at 14 and 15, but the Knights used a 4-0 run to pull ahead.
- The Blue Devils once again drew to within one at 18-19 and then again tied things at 21 thanks to a Nyjha Marcelin kill and an error from the Knights, but FDU was able to pull away with a 25-22 set win.
- CCSU came into the third with an agenda and took the momentum early. After losing the first point, the Blue Devils took advantage of three attack errors from FDU to take a 5-1 lead in the first.
- The Knights drew closer until a Henderson kill sparked a 4-0 run from CCSU to put them up 16-9.
- Tori Boulay served up an ace before CCSU took the set on a FDU error.
- The Blue Devils fell into 2-4 hole early in the fourth but were able to rally back to a 5-4 lead thanks to kills from Isabelle Roufs and Marcelin.
- Two blocks from FDU and two attack errors from CCSU helped the Knights regain the momentum with a 10-6 lead.
- CCSU battled back to get within two, but another 4-0 run from FDU put the Knights up 17-11.
- Marcelin kicked off and ended another CCSU 4-0 run to get Central Connecticut back to within two.
- Emma Henderson brought CCSU to within two at the 22-24 mark, but a FDU kill won the Knights the match with a fourth set victory.
NOTES
- Henderson and Marcelin led the Blue Devils with 11 kills each.
- Eisenga once again led the Blue Devils with 18 digs.

The Blue Devils will be continuing their road stretch on Saturday as they travel to Pennsylvania to take on Saint Francis University. CCSU won its previous match up with the Red Flash in a 3-1 victory.
